The iconic matter on which BIOMA operates is his authorship: a quality of image that precedes the algorithm, the light, the grain, the composition that the system inherits and makes happen.
Generative system · ResNet Framework
Generative artist and theorist of computational art, based in Milan. Originator of the ResNet Framework — Resonance Networks, within the Framework Generativo ArTech.
For BIOMA he developed the generative system, defined the systemic direction and devised the grammar of Residual Code Poetry, whose verses are not handwritten but generated by the system from the data and the mood of the images, then gathered into a recorded voice corpus. He also composed the five musical tracks corresponding to the modes. His parallel work, ResNet XX — The Geopolitical Sublime, is the dialectical counterpart of BIOMA.
BIOMA · EchO is the first work of the corpus to rewrite pre-existing authored iconic matter: a system in which the photographic image and the generative grammar rewrite one another.
